A practical team planning tool

Super Pokémon Team Builder lets you choose six Pokémon, inspect type matchups, and compare teammate options with a deterministic score. The first version supports a casual Generation 9 National Dex pool of 1,025 base species.

Data and attribution

Names, types, generation, base stats and the type chart are derived from @pkmn/dex 0.10.11, an MIT-licensed data layer based on Pokémon Showdown. The dataset is stored locally and candidates are evaluated without requesting an external API.

Score limitations

The total weights Offense at 25%, Defense at 30%, Coverage at 25% and Synergy at 20%. These are initial planning heuristics, not a win probability, battle simulation or metagame ranking. Moves, abilities, items, EVs, IVs, Terastallization and legality checks are not included.

Sharing and analytics

Team links store Pokémon IDs and a format in the URL. There is no account or cloud save system. If analytics is configured, page-view locations omit team query parameters.

Pokémon and related names belong to their respective owners. This project is not affiliated with or endorsed by The Pokémon Company, Nintendo, Game Freak or Creatures. Pokémon artwork is served from the pinned PokéAPI sprite source, and type symbols are original assets from the official Japanese Pokémon Pokédex.
