Random Pokémon Generator
Pick one Pokémon or a random team of six. Free · No signup · No duplicates.
More filters · 1025 eligible Pokémon
Unique species only. Uses modern types; generation means first appearance, not availability in a specific game. Changing filters clears results and locks.
Choose your filters, then generate a Pokémon.
From a random pick to your next team
Choose a quantity, optionally filter the pool, and select Generate. Lock any result you want to keep, then generate again to reroll the other slots. Use Copy names for a drawing prompt or a challenge with friends.
What does the generator include?
The pool contains 1,025 base species, National Pokédex #001–1025, from Bulbasaur to Pecharunt. Regional, Mega and other alternate forms are excluded. Type filters use Generation 9 typing. Each eligible species has an equal chance in an unlocked draw, without duplicate species in the same result. Scores do not influence random selection.
Can I generate a random Pokémon team?
Yes. Choose six, then lock favorites or reroll individual slots. Analyze this team sends the results into our Pokémon team builder to inspect typing, base stats, shared weaknesses and offensive coverage. Transfer happens in this browser tab; it does not overwrite saved teams.
Does a generation filter mean I can catch them in that game?
No. It selects the generation in which each species first appeared. It does not check encounters, trading, events, game availability or competitive legality. Random teams are casual starting points, not guaranteed viable teams or a ROM randomizer.
How do the extra filters work?
Turn off legendary and mythical Pokémon to exclude those categories. Ultra Beasts and Paradox Pokémon remain eligible unless another filter excludes them. Fully evolved also includes species without an evolution; evolution status follows the modern dataset rather than historical games.
