Key risk. Electric, Grass, Bug, Ghost and Dark attacks are super effective. Ground and Electric targets ignore Thunder Wave. This standard Water/Psychic form differs from Galarian Slowking.

BATTLE PLAN
Recover with Slack Off while staying in, or switch out to restore HP through Regenerator. Thunder Wave can slow a suitable target to help a teammate enter.
Thunder Wave slows the target so a teammate can come in behind it, but Ground and Electric targets ignore the paralysis — and a Ground attacker is neutral into Slowking while shrugging off the move that was supposed to buy the switch.
Slack Off spends the attack turn on the heal. Regenerator gives HP for the switch instead, so a predicted switch is worth health that standing still is not.
Grass hits Water for 2×, and neither of Slowking’s attacking moves answers it — Surf is resisted and Psychic only lands for neutral damage. This is the standard Water and Psychic form, not the Galarian one.
A teammate uses a switching move to bring Slowking in. A slower pivot may take the opponent’s hit first. Turn order and the opponent’s move still matter.
ITEM & ABILITY
Regenerator pays HP back on the way out and Slack Off pays while Slowking stays in, which are answers to two different problems. Neither one changes the fact that Bug, Dark, Electric, Ghost and Grass each deal 2× to a Pokémon with no immunity at all.
Watch the tradeoff. Electric, Grass, Bug, Ghost and Dark attacks are super effective. Ground and Electric targets ignore Thunder Wave. This standard Water/Psychic form differs from Galarian Slowking.

Base stats are not final battle stats. Level, nature, IVs, EVs and battle effects affect the result. Check availability in your game before choosing an alternative.
A Dark partner can help against Ghost and Dark attacks. A Ground teammate covers Electric; check Grass and Bug coverage separately.
Resists Ghost and Dark and gives a different defensive support option.
Electric immunity and physical damage complement this special set.

Incoming damage assumes typing only. 0× = immune, ½× / ¼× = resistant, 2× / 4× = weak. Resistance counts include immunities.

Against single-type targets, using only same-type attacks. This is not coverage against every dual-type species.
Offense (25%): neutral-or-better type coverage and strongest attacking base stats. Defense (30%): team resistances, unprotected and repeated weaknesses, and 4× vulnerabilities. Coverage (25%): fraction of 18 single-type targets hit super effectively by your own types. Synergy (20%): teammates resisting each other’s weaknesses, physical/special/bulk stat signals and base Speed ≥100. Scores are rounded to 0–100; the total uses the displayed subscores.
Rating bands: Excellent ≥80, Good ≥65, Fair ≥45, Poor below 45. An empty team has no rating.
Small teams are provisional and are not given a separate completion bonus. Adding a Pokémon can lower the score if it creates new weaknesses or lowers averages. These initial heuristics have not been calibrated against battle outcomes.
